James Conway Bryson, 78, of Black Rock, passed away Sunday at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro. He was the son of the late James Ernest and Opal Barber Bryson. James was a faithful Godly man who loved Jesus with all of his heart. He was of the United Pentecostal faith. He was one of the strongest men who overcame many obstacles in his life. He had a heart for helping others, and he loved his family dearly. One of his favorite pastimes was to take care of his horses and cows on his farm. James founded Kelly's RV in 1988. He is also preceded in death by one sister, Ernestine Lively and infant brother, Jerry Wayne.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Bryant Bryson; two sons, Kelly Bryson (LeAnn), of Paragould, and Jesse Bryson (Shana), of Imboden; one brother, Jack Bryson (Bunny), of Michigan; one sister, Billie Jo McPherson (Ireland), of Michigan; seven step children, Nita Cope, of Powhatan, Arkansas, Freddy Cope, of Stilwell, Oklahoma, Tina Dillon (Edwin), of Branson, Missouri, Richard Burke (Laurie), of Greenwood, South Carolina, Melinda Lowery, of Black Rock, Arkansas, Wendy Tilley, of Powhatan, Arkansas, and Wesley Duren (Kristi), of Imboden, Arkansas; one brother-in-law, Charles Lively; twenty-six grand children; and twenty-six great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday evening at Heath Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be Friday at Heath Funeral Home beginning at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Samuel Manuel and Rev. Colby Hammon officiating. Burial will follow at Greene County Memorial Gardens .
