James Charles "Sonny" Coy

James Charles “Sonny” Coy, 80 of Lake City, died Tuesday at Lakeside Nursing Center. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Grace Temple Missionary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Ovean Irwin Coy and sister, Peggy Gunn.

Survivors include his wife, Christine Coy of Lake City; son, James Christopher Coy of Schugtown; daughters, Cindy Smith of Judsonia, Mitzi Colburn and Robin Henson both of Lake City; sisters, Sherry Coffman of Jonesboro and Joan Baker of North Carolina; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday from 5:00-7:00 at Heath Funeral Home. No other services are planned.
