Jacqueline Gray Dudley passed peacefully to her eternal home on Saturday, November 28, 2020.
She was born to David and Mamie Gray in Leachville, Arkansas on March 5, 1933.
Jackie, as she was known, was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Charles Robert Dudley, and son Todd Gray Dudley.
She is survived by her son Charles Robert Dudley II (Chuck) and wife Martha of Hot Springs, son David Walker Dudley and wife Karin of Paragould, grandson Robert Dudley (Adrian) of Maumelle, granddaughter Elise Dudley Chambliss (John) of Rogers, grandson Thomas Dudley (Alanna) of Springdale, sister Marcia Gray Ealy of Bryan, TX, daughter in law Brenda Dudley of Lafayette, LA, nephew Clark Ealy (Connie) of College Station,TX, niece Marcia Ealy Carleton (Bryan) of League City, TX, and several great nieces and nephews.
Jackie from an early age had a beautiful smile, and was involved in beauty pageants including Miss Paragould. In 1951, she was featured in the Miss Arkansas program when the Miss Arkansas Pageant was held in Paragould.
Charles Robert Dudley was quick to notice that smile, and they were married in Paragould August 21, 1953.
Her home was her castle. She was a Cub Scout Den mother, volunteered with the PTA, a Paragould Bulldog athletic booster, cheerleader for her boys and their friends, and a disciplinarian when needed.
CR and Jackie were a perfect couple from the beginning. They enjoyed travel, and family trips to Orange Beach, Alabama, which were always a highlight for them. They were excellent dancers, many nights hitting the floor at the Kingsway Supper Club. Their love lasted over 67 years.
She was able to travel the world with her friends and family, seeing things a girl from Leachville would never imagine, including China, Russia, Europe, and Egypt.
Her main job was raising three rowdy sons, making sure they understood how to make a bed, clean up after themselves, and how to act the right way in public. This was a job she was well suited for, and performed without exception.
The family would like to thank the staff of Chateau on the Ridge, Green Acres Nursing Home, and Arkansas Methodist Medical Center. Also, Dr Jon Thompson, and Dr Revel Porter for their care and concern.
Honorary pallbearers are: Bill Fisher, Joe Wessell, Ed Chunn, Perry Boxx, Steve Block, Mike Gaskill, and Randy Philhours.
