Jack L. Blackshear, Sr.

Jack L. Blackshear, Sr, 95, of Little Rock, formerly of Paragould, died at his residence Wednesday. Jack was retired owner of Hurt Grocery Company and a member of 1st United Methodist Church of Paragould. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hildegarde Blackshear, parents, Arvil and Maggie Ligon Blackshear; brother, Joseph C. Blackshear and sister Margaret Springer. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Jack L. and Bobbie Blackshear, Jr of Little Rock, AR, Bill and Christy Blackshear of Rogers, AR and Dr. Robert and Eva Blackshear of Springfield, MO; brother Arvile Harrel Blackshear of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Jeff Blackshear of Denver, CO, Danielle Girnus of Visalia, CA, Emily Hull of Stillwater, OK, Will Blackshear of St. Louis, MO, Ross, Ted and Steve Blackshear of Springfield, MO. Graveside services wil be Saturday at 10:00 A.M. at Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Jim Keith officiating. Memorial services will follow at the 1st United Methodist Church at 11:00 A.M.
