Herman Rodney Jackson, 59, of Marmaduke, passed away Sunday at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center. He was born in Gideon, Missouri and was a retired Safety Manager for SRT Manufacturing. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Herman was the son of John Henry Spears and the late Dora Ford VanHuss. He was also preceded in death by his father who raised him, Sonny Jackson.
Survivors include his wife, Karen Jackson of the home; daughters, Stacy Thompson of Poplar Bluff, Missouri and Rikki Jo Jackson of Norman, Oklahoma; son, Dusty Gray of Wellsville, Missouri; step-daughter, Lauren Thompson; step-son, Christian Thompson, both of Dyersburg, Tennessee; sisters, Edna Raymond of Wardell, Missouri., Brenda Shaffer of Elsinore, Missouri, and Sherron VandeWaal of Hayti, Missouri; brothers, Roger Lacey of Hayti and Donald VanHuss of Texas;sister-in-law, Lisa O'Keefe of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; brother-in-law, Mike Tackett of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; grandchildren, Chevy Pulley, Dakota Thompson, Colton Thompson, Dristen Gray, Hayden Gray, and Katie Gray; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation is Tuesday from 1-2:30pm at Heath Funeral Home. Funeral begins at 2:30pm with Jeff Watson officiating. Burial will follow in Monette Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jonathon and Chris Lacey, Alex Foster, Christian Thompson, James Thompson, and Chevy Pulley.
