Herbert "Herb" Wayne Thomason

Herbert "Herb" Wayne Thomason, 74, of Beech Grove, passed away Saturday at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center. He was an insurance salesman for American General Life and Accident Insurance for over 40 years. Herb was a member of Commissary Church of Christ. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, but his family was always his first love. He was a devoted husband, father, father-in-law, and grandfather. He was the son of the late Jack and Vestal Smith Thomason. He was also preceded in death by his grandson, Matthew Thomason; brothers, Ray, Hugh, Bobby Jay, and Billy Gene Thomason; and sister, Margie Randles.

Herb is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Willadean; son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Cathy Thomason of Paragould; grandchildren, Amanda Thomason of Jonesboro and Zachary Thomason of Paragould; brothers, Jackie and James Thomason; sisters, Bonnie Scott and Ann Nicosia; and his faithful dog, Reese.

Visitation is Tuesday from 6-8 PM at Heath Funeral Home. The funeral is Wednesday at 1 PM at Heath Funeral Home with Art Smith and Evan Smith officiating. Burial will be in Greene County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Philip Rowe, Charlie Rowe, Thomas Lindsey, Jesse Brown, Randy Clark, and Michael Parsons. Honorary pallbearers are Vic Rowe, Larry Edrington, Eddie Taylor, and Buddy Gregory. Memorials may be sent to Arkansas Children's Hospital.
