Helen Louise Cook

Helen Louise Parson Cook was born January 19, 1933 to Henry Hampton and Beatrice (Benton) Hampton in Greene County, Arkansas. She departed this life on December 13, 2017 at Greene Acres Nursing Center. Helen was a member of St. Paul Methodist Church at Schugtown, attended Dixie High School, and was employed at Ely & Walker shirt factory for 38 years. She later attended Shiloh United Methodist Church.

Helen is survived by one son, Alan and Linda Parson; granddaughter, Krissy Parson Shirley Smith and husband, Kevin; grandson, Casey and Heather Parson; great granddaughter, Abigail Shirley; great grandson, Brazen Tucker Parson; and sister, Elsie Davis, all of Paragould.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Hampton and Beatrice McIllwain; grandson, Matthew Parson; sister, Bette Myers; brothers, Willie, Chester, Calvin, Berl, Marion, and Charles Hampton; and her husband, J.W. Cook.

The funeral is Saturday at 12pm at Heath Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Hughes officiating. Visitation is from 10 to noon. Burial is at Finch Cemetery. Please send memorials to Finch Cemetery.
