Hazel Mae Buchanan

Hazel Mae Buchanan, 85, of Paragould, passed from this life on Wednesday, November 16, 2022.She was born on February 14, 1937, in McLeansboro, Illinois to the late George and Mary Redmon. Hazel worked for years for Elder Manufacturing, retiring as a Quality Control Manager. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She loved going to church, and she loved Jesus. Hazel adored her grandchildren, and she was the ultimate caregiver to everyone she knew. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Norman Buchanan; son, Mark David Biggerstaff; and three grandchildren.

Hazel is survived by her children, Larry (Sharon) Biggerstaff, Debbie (Larry) Powers, and Tim (Elaine) Biggerstaff, all of McLeansboro, Illinois, Angie (Marty) Needham of Paragould, and Rayla Buchanan of New Mexico; ten grandchildren; and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Friday from 12-2 PM at Heath Funeral Home. The funeral begins at 2 PM with Deacon Marty Needham officiating. Burial will follow in Greene County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Tristen Wright, J.J. Needham, Marty Needham, David Moss, Danny Moss, Bryan Braye, Alex Franklin, and Clinton Chambels.
