Harry W. "Butch" Thomas, 73, of Foley, Alabama, formerly of Paragould, passed from this life on Sunday, June 12, 2022, in Pensacola, Florida. He was born in Paragould on February 1, 1949, to the late Harry, Sr. and Wilma Thomas. Butch earned his Associate's degree and spent 43 years as a Nuclear Medicine and PET CT Technologist. He married Valerie Spindler on March 16, 1968. He was a member of St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Parish in Foley. Butch enjoyed farming, and he loved to duck hunt. He was a veteran having served in the United States Army National Guard. Butch was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Amy Thomas.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Valerie Thomas; daughter and son-in-law, Staci and Eric Williams of Paragould; sons and daughters-in-law, Lawson and Raina Thomas of Paragould and Charles and Nicole Thomas of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida; grandchildren, Tiffany (Tyler) Weese of Paragould, Zachary (Jerica) Williams of Jonesboro, Allie Thomas of Kansas City, Missouri, Jade Thomas of Fayetteville, Ridge Thomas of Paragould, Gracie Williams of Paragould,, and Lucy Thomas of Santa Rosa Beach; great grandchild, Sawyer Weese of Paragould; and sister and brother-in-law, Gail and Richard Jackson.
A visitation will be Tuesday, July 5th from 8-9:30am at Harvest Baptist Church. A graveside service will begin 10am at Coffman Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please honor Butch with memorials to St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Parish, Harvest Baptist Church, or Alzheimer's Association.
