Harold Lee Cupp, 84, of Paragould, passed away Saturday at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. He was born on July 24, 1934 to the late Melvin and Alma Carter Cupp. He served in the United States Army during the Cold War. Harold was stationed in Germany where he guarded the Russian border. He married the love of his life, Carolyn Russom, on December 22, 1956. Harold worked for General Motors for sixteen years. When they moved to Paragould in 1971, Harold began painting. He was a professional painter for over 30 years before retiring in the early 2000s. He had a deep love for God and his church, Brown's Chapel Baptist Church. Harold enjoyed camping, fishing, and trips to Branson with Carolyn. Over the years, he enjoyed doing most anything as long as he was with her, whether it was spending time with family or helping her with her daycare. Harold was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Aline Cupp.
Harold is survived by his beloved wife, Carolyn; son, Michael Cupp of Paragould; daughters, Robin (Bruce) Rainey of Pineville, Missouri, and Michele (Jason) Boling of Paragould; brother, Walter (Pearl) Cupp of Grand Blanc, Michigan; grandchildren, Shannan (Rob) Lowe, Trey (Stacey) Huddleston, Colton Huddleston, Jorden Boling, Baleigh Boling, and Eli Rainey; and great grandchildren, Autumn Lowe, Ashlea Lowe, Tristen Lowe, Trevin Lowe, Brayden Huddleston, Liam Huddleston, Landon Huddleston, Caiden Huddleston, Paeton Huddleston, and Kenley Boling.
Visitation is Wednesday evening from 6-8 at Brown's Chapel Baptist Church. Funeral service is Thursday at 1pm at Brown's Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Royce Boling officiating, under the direction of Heath Funeral Home. Interment is in Shiloh Cemetery. Pallbearers are Bruce Rainey, Jason and Jorden Boling, Rob and Tristen Lowe, and Trey Huddleston. Honorary pallbearers are Trevin Lowe, Brayden Huddleston, Bob Jackson, and Wes Williams. Please send memorials to the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House.
