Grover T. Stewart

Grover T. Stewart, 89, of Brookland, formerly of Cardwell, Missouri died Thursday at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro. He was born July 14, 1919 in Dunklin County, Missouri, the son of the late B.E. and Thula Farmer Stewart. Grover was a grocery store owner and Chief of Police in Cardwell, MO and a member of the Cardwell Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Reba Aline Wood Stewart, parents, B.E. and Thula Stewart, grandson, Mark Burcham, 6 brothers and 1 sister.. Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Williams and husband Jerry of Brookland, and Phyllis Burcham and husband Garry of Lepanto; 8 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:00 P.M at the Heath Colonial Chapel with Dwight Harrison officiating. Burial will follow at Cardwell Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 11:30 A.M. on Monday. Memorials may be sent to the American Heart Association. , .
