Gregory Russom

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Gregory Waylen Russom of Paragould, age 62, who departed this life on February 4, 2025, in Jonesboro. Born on April 13, 1962, in Flint, Michigan, Gregory was a warm soul who cherished the embrace of nature and the simple joys of life.

Gregory had a profound love for the outdoors, which he nurtured from a young age while hunting with his father. His passion for the woods extended to numerous hikes, where he would delight in gathering sticks and immersing himself in the beauty of the natural world. An avid gardener, Gregory took great pleasure in growing and selling tomatoes and squash, a testament to his appreciation for nurturing life and sharing the fruits of his labor with others.

He is survived by his cherished family, including his uncles Charles Collins and Larry Collins, his aunt Louise Devore, and numerous cousins. Their memories of Gregory will be forever treasured.

Gregory was preceded in death by his father, Waylen Russom, and mother, Clora Russom.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 7, at Heath Funeral Home, with a service beginning at 1:00 PM. Gregory will be laid to rest at Greene County Memorial Gardens. Friends and family are invited to join in honoring and celebrating the life of Gregory Waylen Russom.
