Mrs. Glenda Faye (Parrish) Howard, 80, passed away from this life on August 9,2023, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould. Mrs. Glenda was born on April 27,1943, to John and Mable Parrish. She was married on October 13,1962, to her loving husband, Earl Gene Howard. Mrs. Glenda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was also a member of Marmaduke First General Baptist Church and employed by KAS Potato Chips and Rector Sportswear. She had many hobbies which include watching baseball, writing poems, solving puzzles, drawing, and spending time with family. Her most important skill she had was her ability to love; she loved unconditionally. Love was the entire purpose of her being, and she radiated love because of her unwavering faith in Jesus. The light of Christ shined through her and will continue to do so with the legacy that she has left behind. She is preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two brothers, Floyd and Lonnie Parrish; and sister, Doris Lomerson.
She is survived by her sisters, Viola Carpenter of Marmaduke and Violet McDaniel of Paragould; children, Jeanna Howard of Paragould, Cindy (Donald) Smith of Rector, and Scotty (Angie) Howard of Enid, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Jaya Herren of Paragould, Faith Brown of Paragould, Skyler Gramling of Rector, Hayley Howard of Paragould, Hayden Howard of Paragould, Avery Scout of Enid, Annie Elizandro of Enid; great grandchild, Rena "bug" Herren; and a host of friends and family.
The family will receive friends Sunday, August 13, 2023, from 11 AM until 1 PM at Heath Funeral Home. The funeral begins at 1 pm with Cliff Carter and Bro. Kim Bridges officiating. Burial is in Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector. Pallbearers are Hayden Howard, Skyler Gramling, Trevor Brown, Lonnie Parrish, Nathan Parrish, and Brian Jordan. Honorary pallbearers are Jimmie Parrish and Richard Parrish. In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or Ag for Autism using the links at the bottom of the page.
