Gladys Louise "Peggy" Robertson, 97 of Lexington, Kentucky, formerly of Paragould, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Mayfair Manor in Lexington, Kentucky. She was the daughter of the late Wesley and Rena Wages. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Nelse Warren Robertson, two sisters and six brothers.
She is survived by her children, Johnnie Miller of Lexington, Kentucky, Kenneth "Sam" (Linda) Havens of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, John (Susan) Havens of Paragould, and Peggy Savage of Marion, Arkansas; ten grandchildren; and seventeen great grandchildren.
Peggy and Nelse retired to Paragould in 1997. Peggy, a nurse, and Nelse, a soil scientist, lived in many communities across Arkansas. They both loved and were dedicated to the state and its citizens. Peggy was gregarious and a skilled practitioner of fun loving wit, while Nelse was reserved and soft spoken. Their opposing personalities proved a perfect match. Peggy and Nelse were a cherished couple in the communities in which they lived and worked; any event/party they attended was sure to be.....ONE TO REMEMBER.
Visitation will be Friday from 12-2 at Heath Funeral Home with a graveside service to follow at Linwood Cemetery with Rev. John Fleming officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church in Paragould or a local Hospice organization.
