Gladys Mayo Matthews, 89, of Paragould, died Friday at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. Mayo was a homemaker and was a member of Griffin Memorial United Methodist Church. She was the daughter of the late Dewey, Sr. and Dorothy Pigue. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Dewey Pigue, Jr. Mayo is survived by her husband of 70 years, Floyd Matthews; daughter, Debbie Miles, Paragould; grandsons, Brian (Ludivine) Miles, Jonesboro, and Kevin (Angela) Miles, Stephenville, TX; great grandchildren, Timothy and Austin Miles, Jonesboro, and Kristina and John Miles, Stephenville; brother, Haley (Jane) Pigue, Jonesboro; sister, Tollees Jackson, Paragould; and several nephews and nieces. Visitation will be Monday from 10-11 AM at Heath Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 11 with Rev. Jason Sutfin officiating. Interment will be at Greene County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Haley Pigue, Steve Krantz, Keith Jackson, Larry Pigue, Brett Moore, Brian Miles, and Kevin Miles. Memorials may be sent to Griffin Memorial United Methodist Church or National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
