Gerald "Max" Sims

Gerald "Max" Sims, Sr., 78, of Paragould, passed away Wednesday at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center. He was the son of the late G.C. and Virgie Sims. He was a District Manager for Dodger Dog, a manager at Fred's, and retired from Monroe. In his free time, he enjoyed politics and traveling. He is also preceded in death by an infant brother, Ronnie Clinton Sims.

Survivors include sons, Gerald Sims, Jr. (Angela), of Paragould and Stephen Sims (Amanda), of Houston, Texas; grandsons, Zeke, Sidney, Cash, and Lux Sims; brother, Ricky Sims, of Paragould; sister, Marvell Holifield, of Oak Grove; niece, Leslie Eastep (Robert), of Paragould; great nephew, Colton Eastep; and special friend, Shirley Harris.

Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00-3:00 pm at Heath Funeral Home with the service beginning at 3:00 pm in the chapel. Burial will follow at Greene County Memorial Gardens.
