George Elzie Ray

July 8, 1924 — December 5, 2009

George Ray, 85, of Paragould, died Saturday, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center. George was the owner and operator of George's Ray's Drag Strip for 49 years. He was of Church of Christ belief. Survivors include his wife; Bonnie Ray of the home; stepdaughter and stepson-in-law: Michele and John Dulaney; stepsons and stepdaughter-in-law: Kenneth Bellomy, Ron and Robin Bellomy; special grandson: Tyler "Fred" Russom, all of Paragould; grandchildren: Cody Mace, Eli Dulaney, Brandon Bellomy, Justin Bellomy, Kendra Bellomy, Jordan Dulaney; special friend: Darrell Dickson of Paragould; brother: Paul Arterberry; sister: Josie White, both of Tennessee; and three great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, at Heath Funeral Home. His life will be celebrated at Heath Colonial Chapel at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, with Ron Smith officiating.
