Gary Wayne Laubach, 70, of Paragould, passed away from this life Friday, June 3, 2022 at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. He was of Baptist faith and a believer in Jesus Christ as his savior. He was a loving husband, dad, and Papa! He was a veteran having served in the United States Army Reserves. Gary never knew a stranger. He was a friend to everyone he met and brought family and friends joy with his funny stories, silly jokes, and lots of laughter. He loved spending time with family. Whether it was at the lake, birthday get-together's, or chasing grandkids around the country to watch them play sports, he was always there with a smile and a cup of coffee in hand. As the owner of his company he was always the first one to work and the last one to leave. He loved Monday mornings just as much as Friday afternoons. If you showed up at 7:00am, he'd tell you good afternoon. He was always energized and ready to start a job. He loved what he did and the people he worked with. If he had a bad day, you never knew it. He believed in always staying positive and he had a way to make those around him feel better no matter how they felt. Heaven received a truly great man with Gary and there is no doubt a smell of fresh brewed coffee and hot deep fried raisin pie at the heavenly gates today.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clint and Pearl Laubach of Salem, MO. Left behind to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 50 years, Norma Laubach; daughter, Michelle (Alan) Barnes; son, Craig (Lora) Laubach all of Paragould; six grandchildren, Madison (Lane) Smith of El Paso, AR, Colby Shaw, Payton Laubach, Drew Laubach, Taylor (Beau) Gramling, and Brooke Barnes, all of Paragould; one brother, Dennis (Berta) Laubach of Benton, MO; as well as his extended family, an abundance of friends, and his beloved dog, Laila. We will miss him more than words can say.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 5, 2022, from 1-3pm at Heath Funeral Home. The funeral will begin at 3pm with Rev. Eddie Gene Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Greene County Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Colby Shaw, Payton Laubach, Drew Laubach, Lane Smith, Joel Gibson, and Scott Setzer. Honorary pallbearers are Dennis Laubach, Tommy Abbott, Danny Crum, Harry Mitchell, Marty Jarrett, Gary Prince, Larry McCurly, and Fred Barnes.
