Frances Marie Bowman, 91, of Kennett passed away Sunday at Twin Rivers Hospital. Mrs. Bowman, formerly from the Paragould area, was born in Nettleton and had lived in the St. Louis area for over 60 years. She was a 1945 graduate of Marmaduke High School, charter member of the Boggey Hills Baptist Church where she served as secretary for 12 years, member of the Eastern Star, and retired in 1980 as Clerk for Rexall Drug Co in St. Louis for over 27 years. She was the daughter of the late A. Manuel and Hattie Mills Rikard.
Mrs. Bowman is survived by several nieces, nephews, and a life long friend, Glenda Barry. She was also preceded in death by two husbands, E.L. Wood and Jesse Bowman; five sisters, Nancy Etter Walton, Ruth Fielder, Maggie Rikard, Addie Rikard, and LaVennia Chailland Earls; and seven brothers, Walter, Lester, Lloyd, Eural, William Son, Chester, and Howard Rikard.
Graveside service will be 11:00 Wednesday at Linwood Cemetery under the direction of Heath Funeral Home with Rev. Kimberly Long and Robin Chailland officiating. Online tribute: www.heathfuneralhome.com
