Floyd Matthews, 91, of Paragould, died Wednesday at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. Floyd was a retired manager with Dr. Pepper Bottling and was a member of Griffin Memorial United Methodist Church. He was the son of the late Francis Matthews and the late Vicie Swafford. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Mayo Matthews. Floyd is survived by his daughter, Debbie Miles, Paragould; grandsons, Brian (Ludivine) Miles, Jonesboro, and Kevin (Angela) Miles, Stephenville, TX; great grandchildren, Timothy and Austin Miles, Jonesboro, and Kristina and John Miles, Stephenville; sister, Evelyn Krantz, Mountain Home; and several nephews and nieces. Visitation will be Saturday from 1-2 PM at Heath Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2 with Rev. Everett Isom officiating. Interment will be at Greene County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Haley Pigue, Steve Krantz, Richard Carraway, Keith Jackson, Larry Pigue, Brett Moore, and Brian Miles. Memorials may be sent to Griffin Memorial United Methodist Church or National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
