Finis D. Brewer, Sr.

Finis D. Brewer, Sr., 88, of Paragould, died Wednesday at Greene Acres Nursing Home. He spent 30 years with the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department as a lowboy truck driver. After retiring, he worked for Don Johnson Auto Sales and then the Jonesboro Airport. Once he retired for the final time, he enjoyed going to the coffee shop and socializing at Burger King. Finis loved to garden and was always proud of his tomatoes. He was a member of Seventh and Mueller Church of Christ. Finis was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Margie Dearin Brewer; parents, Ben and Arlie Brewer; daughter, Rhonda Gail Brewer; granddaughter, Casie Amanda Greer; sisters, Lorene Lacy and Aquilla Brewer; and nephews, Donald Lacy and Clinton Doyn Lacy.

Finis is survived by his daughter, Diana Greer and late husband, Larry Greer, of Paragould; son, Finis Brewer, Jr.and wife, Karen, of Mt. View; grandchildren, Rusty Greer, Jo Ann Hogan Greer, Abigail Maraye Brewer, and Carady Suzanne Brewer; great granddaughter, Nyx Nicole Greer; nephew, Cloys Lacy of St. Louis; and loved by many foster children.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 5-7pm at Heath Funeral Home in Paragould. The funeral will be Tuesday at 1pm at Heath Colonial Chapel with Larry McFadden officiating.
