Evalene Jane Roberts

Evalene Jane Roberts, 88, of Paragould, passed away Tuesday at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center. She is the daughter of the late Sig and Lela Maynard Young. Evalene was a retired Tenneco machine operator and attended Faith Fellowship Community Church. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with family and loved ones. She is also preceded in death by her first husband, Jack "Ray" Byers; second husband, Arthur Roberts; daughter, Carolyn Lee Byers; son, Dennie Byers; brother, Carl Young; and sister, Hazel Shipman.

Survivors include sons, Edgar Byers/Kaye Rogers and Leon Roberts, both of Paragould; daughters, Kay (Bob) Newman, of Paragould and Peggy Pitcher, of Memphis, Tenneesee; daughter-in-law, Linda Byers, of Paragould; grandsons, Brandon (Andrea) Ellis, Brad Rogers, Justin Byers, Bryan Pitcher, Ronnie Pitcher, Mark Pitcher, and Tony Pemberton; sister, Patsy Boyd, of Beech Grove; brother, Floyd Young, of Rockford, Illinois; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at Heath Funeral Home Thursday from 10:00-11:00 am. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 am with Bro. Kevin Edgar officiating. Burial will follow at Shiloh cemetery.
