Eula Faye Hestand, 93, of Paragould, passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. Eula was born on January 10, 1928 in Glendale, Arkansas to the late Victor Otto and Mary (Smith) Owen. She was a long time Pink Lady and a charter member of West View Baptist Church. Eula worked at Bob's Casual Corner, Clyde Mack, Emerson Electric, and Hays where she retired at the age of eighty years old. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Andrew Hestand, Jr.; and nine siblings, Helen Ballew, Carrie McClinton, Pebble Watts, James Owen, Herbert Owen, Martha Lou Drake, Evelyn Johnston, Victor Owen, and Maxine Wooley.
Survivors include her four children, Philip Hestand (Michelle) of Paragould, Becky Thurman (Johnny) of Paragould, Carla Gregory (Doran) of Walnut Ridge, and Barry Hestand of Paragould; nine grandchildren, Andrea Hestand, Jessica Ward (Phillip), Carletta Stinson (Derrick), Patricia Roush (Gaylon), Dawn Dooly (Adam), Laura Thurman, Joshua Thurman, Allison Hestand, and Tyler Hestand; three great-grandchildren, Carrick Stinson, Caitlyn Stinson, and Wyatt Thurman; and two sisters, Joyce McFall of Pine Bluff, and Virginia Gillispie of West Plains, Missouri.
Visitation will be held Saturday, November 27, 2021 at West View Baptist Church from 12:30 - 2:00 pm. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm with Ronnie Winn and Doran Gregory officiating. Burial will follow at Greene County Memorial Gardens. Tyler Hestand, Adam Dooly, Joshua Thurman, Gaylon Roush, Derrick Stinson, and Phillip Ward will serve as pallbearers.
