Erwin Todd Nething was born November 1, 1967 in Flint, Michigan. Todd departed this life June 6, 2021 in Southaven, Mississippi.
Todd was the son of Chester and Shirley Nething. Todd attended Salem Lutheran School in Owosso, Michigan through the eighth grade, then transferred to Corunna High School in Corunna, Michigan.
He became very active in F.F.A., becoming a regional officer. He and his brother fed steers on the family farm. In 1983, the Corunna F.F.A. Livestock Team, of which Todd was a member of, won third place in the national competition.
Todd attended Lansing Community College for two years, then transferred to Memphis State. Todd then spent several years as a salesman for different chemical and landscape supply companies. Later he switched to the trucking industry, first as a freight broker, then as a terminal manager.
Todd is preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Nething and his grandparents.
He is survived by his father, Chester; his brother, Talbert and his wife Tracy and their children, Hayden and Reese; and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
Visitation will be held Friday from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at the St. John's Lutheran Church. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 am with Pastor Charles Neugebauer officiating. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery.
Neal Adams, Steven Morris, Tom McCollum, Hayden Nething, James Robinson, and Collin Thompson will serve as pallbearers.
