Ernie Dewayne Staires

Ernie Dewayne Staires, 53, of Atkins, formerly of Marmaduke, died Friday, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock. He was born February 6, 1958 in Marmaduke. He loved hunting and was of Baptist belief. He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Staires. Survivors include his mother, Georgia Staires of the home; sisters: Nita Staires of Marmaduke, Lisa Tilley of Hornersville, MO; brothers: Terry Staires of Marmaduke, Tony Staires of Oak Grove, Les Staires of Piggott, several nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews and his dog, Buster. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, at Heath Funeral Home. His life will be celebrated Tuesday, Heath Colonial Chapel, at 10:00 AM, with Rev. Kim Bridges officiating. Interment will follow at Harvey's Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers are Terry Staires, Tony Staires, Les Staires, David Smith, Allen Newell and Jarrod Fields. Honorary pallbearers are Craig Staires, Tim Travelstead, Skip Tilley, Rudy Sanford, Rusty Gibson, Chris McDonald and Keri Don McDonald.
