Emma Janette Whitley

Emma "Janette" Whitley, 90, of Paragould, passed away Monday, January 3, 2022. Janette was born on August 2, 1931 in Jonesboro, Arkansas to the late Felix Odel and Gertie (Cooksey) Burton. She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening and canning. Janette was a faithful member of Brown's Chapel Baptist Church for forty-nine years. She is preceded in death by her husband and three brothers.

Survivors include her daughters, Diann Roming (Chuck) and Patricia Buhler (Greg) both of Paragould; son, Dale Whitley of Paragould; sister, Ermal Tinsley (Herman) of Brookland; seven grandchildren and several great and great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Friday from 1:00 - 2:00 pm at Heath Funeral Home. The service will begin at 2:00 pm with Rev. Royce Boling and Marty Ezell officiating. Burial will follow at Brown's Chapel cemetery. Derek Boling, Andy Ford, Ernie Pruett, Michael Lyerly, Drew Harper, and Alex Buhler will serve as pallbearers.
