Elvis Street, 91, of Paragould, passed away Thursday at his residence. He was a farmer who also spent 17 years with Jonesboro Grocer as he farmed. He later worked at Monroe where he retired as a supervisor after 20 years. Later in life, he enjoyed buying and selling cars. Elvis was the son of the late Luther and Lucy Street. He was also preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Diane Street; brothers, Cletus and Roy Street; and sisters, Leona Street, Inez Edwards, and Caroline Cushing.
Survivors include his children, Sharon (Elwyn) Williams, Lanny Street, and Pamela (Larry) Jones, all of Paragould; mother of his children, Ruth Street; brother, L.P. Street of Joplin, Missouri; sister, Almes Freeman of St. Louis, Missouri; 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
A graveside funeral will be Sunday at 3pm at Mt. Zion Cemetery with Rev. Royce Boling officiating.
