Elva Newberry

Elva Seclora Newberry died in her home on Sunday, March 19, 2017 in Lone Grove, Oklahoma, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. She was 88.
Elva was born on April 2nd, 1928 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania to her parents, Harvey and Ruth Seese. She married Wilborn (Bill) Arnold Newberry in 1946. The Newberry’s moved to Dallas, Texas where Bill & Elva worked in the Hotel and Restaurant Industry. She retired in 2008 and moved to Oklahoma, where she lived with her daughter, Lucy Eileen Duvall, and her family.
Elva is survived by four daughters; Ruth Long of Lancaster Texas, Elva Wright and Terry of Fairfield, Texas, Lucy Eileen Duvall and Bill of Lone Grove, Oklahoma and Wanda Grasser of Lancaster, Texas and two sons; Bill Newberry and Linda of Whitney, Texas and Alan Newberry and Vickie of Taylorville, Illinois. Her Sister; Jean Maxwell, Thirteen Grandchildren, 29 Great Grandchildren and six Great-Great Grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Wilborn (Bill) Newberry, Parents Harvey and Ruth Seese, Sister Doretta, two brothers; William and Jerome Seese, three grandchildren; Ronnie Long, Lee Long, Rebecca Grasser and 2 Great Grandchildren, Danyiel DeLosSantos and Emily Perry
Elva will be buried at Mount Zion Cemetery, Walcott, Arkansas on Thursday morning, March 23, 2017. Viewing will take place on March 22nd, 5PM at Heath Funeral Home. All are welcome to attend and celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the National Alzheimer’s Association.
