Elsie Porter

Elsie Porter, 94, of Paragould, died Monday at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center. She was a homemaker and a member of the Greater Vision Ministries. She was the daughter of the late Jesse and Dora Jones. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John F. Porter; four brothers; and three sisters. Elsie is survived by her daughter, Shirley (Bob) Sims, Paragould; son, John R. (Betty) Porter, Paragould; sister, Mogene Gray, Paragould; grandchildren, John Allen Sims, New York City, Terry Sims, Bobby, Sims, Sherry Sims, and Crystal Leisure, all of Paragould; and great grandchildren, Brandon Sims, MaKenzie Sims, Brylee Sims, and Cory Mac Porter, all of Paragould. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6-8pm at Heath Funeral Home. The funeral service is Thursday at 1pm at Heath Colonial Chapel with Bro. Rick Ethridge officiating. Interment will be at Greene County Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be sent to Greater Vision Ministries.
