Elsie Davis

Elsie Jane Davis, 89, of Paragould, passed from this life on Friday, July 19, 2024. She will be remembered as a devout woman who found solace and strength in her faith. Born on March 23, 1935, in Paragould, Elsie's unwavering love for her family and dedication to her church will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her, as she was a dedicated prayer warrior.

Elsie worked diligently as a receptionist in Michigan, displaying a strong work ethic and genuine care for all those she encountered in her career. Despite not achieving a formal education beyond 12th grade, her professionalism and kindness left a lasting impact on her colleagues and clients alike.

She treasured her time with her children and adored every moment spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Elsie's love for her family was unmatched, and she found immeasurable joy in watching her family grow and thrive.

Elsie is survived by her children, Lee Davis and Linda Davis of Michigan, Debbie Davis, Patty Davis, and Mary (Larry) Webb, all of Paragould, and Roxanne Wamble, who passed away a few days after her mother on July 22, 2024; seven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Brenda McIllwain; and numerous nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Hampton; mother, Beatrice McIllwai; granddaughter, Heather Davis; son, Harold McIllwain; and son-in-law, Jessie Wamble.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 26, 2024, from 10-11 am at Heath Funeral Home. The funeral will begin at 11 am. Burial will follow in Finch Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeff Webb, Logan Webb, Larry Webb, Gavin Montesi, Clayton Williams, and Michael Williams.

Elsie Jane Davis was a beacon of faith, love, and strength, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all those who were fortunate enough to have known her. She touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed. May she rest in eternal peace.
