Elmer Lewis Starrett, 89, of Paragould, passed away Wednesday at AMMC. He was retired from Darling Store Fixtures. Elmer was widely known for his warm greetings at TaMolly's, as he spent many years escorting customers to their seats. He married the love of his life, Margaret, on April 19, 1947. They were married for 50 years before her passing. Elmer served our country in the Unites States Navy during World War II. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Elmer was the son of the late Almon and Sabre Starrett. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Margaret June Starrett; son, Elmer Lewis Starrett, Jr.; great grandchild, Judd Cormac Killian; sisters, Marion and Evelyn; and brother, Charlie Starrett.
Survivors include his daughters, Cheryl (Andy) Stickler and Missy (Jeff) Evans; grandchildren, Stacie (Brent) Reddick, Lindsey (Parker) Copeland, Katie Stickler, Justin (Brittany) Killian, Emily Evans, and Audra (James) McIntire; great grandchildren, Bailey, Ellie, Andrew, Lily, Evie, Corbin, and Hayden; and sister, Ada Weinberg.
A memorial service begins at 5pm Friday at Heath Funeral Home with Father Stephen Mallanga officiating. Instead of flowers, please send memorials to St. Mary's Catholic School.
