Elmer Lymon Glover, 80, of Paragould, passed away Friday at Arkansas Continued Care Hospital in Jonesboro . He was born in Greenville, MO., and retired from Arkansas Highway Department after 39 years. He was a member of Brighton Pentecostal Church and loved the outdoors for hunting and fishing. Elmer was the son of the late Lymon and Bertha Strahl Glover. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Georgia Louise Clemons Glover, two sisters, and two brothers.
Survivors include his wife Ruby of the home; two sons, Randal (Lisa ) Glover of Paragould and Junior Glover of Gainesville; four daughters, Diane Cullum of Jonesboro, Lois Ann Fry of Marmaduke, Laura (Russell) Potter of Memphis and Tammy Lepper of Walnut Ridge; three sisters, Carrie Joann (Norman) Howard of Paragould, Erma Jane (Jesse) Foster and Connie Lorine (Tim) Schofield all of Poplar Bluff, MO; brother, James Charles (Angelia) Glover of Missouri; 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Monday from 6-8 pm at Heath Funeral Home. Graveside service will be Tuesday at 10 am at Gainesville Cemetery with Rev. Kim Bridges officiating. Burial will follow at the Gainesville Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Randal Glover, Jr. Glover, Ernest Cullum, Jeffery Rodgers, Justin Petero, Josh King and Frankie Traywick. Honorary pallbearers will be Mickey Burton, Wayne Poff and Tommy Ray.
