Elda Mae Gaines Carter

Elda Mae (Gaines)Carter, 80, Paragould, died Sunday, June 20, 2010, at St Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. She was born August 25, 1929 in Bedford, Indiana the daughter of the late Jesse and Sylvia Fountain Gaines. She was also preceded in death by her granson, Joshua L. Carter, sister, Ethel Wampler, brother, Paul Gaines, nephews, Danny Gaines and Howard Hanley. She was a homemaker and was a faithful member of Light Church of Christ. She is survived by her husband: Bob Carter, of the home; son and daughter-in-law: John G. and Laniece Carter of Paragould; sisters: Edith Miller of Paragould, Ada Jones of Jonesboro, Mabel Davidson of Corning; grandson: Jared Andrew Carter; great grandson: Haden Quincy Carter, both of Paragould; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Wednesday, at Heath Colonial Chapel. The celebration of her life will follow at Heath Colonial Chapel, 11:00 AM, Wednesday with Paul McFadden officiating. Interment will follow at Liberty Cemetery.
