Edward Elston Pitcher

Edward Elston Pitcher, Paragould, 66, died Friday at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center. Born in Delaplaine, he was preceded in death by his mother, Tessie Swift Pitcher. He retired from Garlock and was a Christian. Survivors include his wife: Shirley Grooms Pitcher, of the home; daughter: Sheila Pitcher; son: Frankie Pitcher, both of Paragould; father: Frank Pitcher of Walnut Ridge; sisters: Edna Riddle of West Plains, MO, Muriel Gentry of Walnut Ridge, and Eulah Pitcher of Hoxie; brother: Edmond "Shorty" Pitcher of Doniphan, Missouri and four grandchildren and one great grandchild. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Saturday, at Heath Funeral Home. His life will be celebrated at Heath Colonial Chapel, 1:00 PM, Sunday, with Reverend Rick Ethridge officiating. Burial will follow at Greene County Memorial Gardens.
