Eddie Mack Russom, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, peacefully passed away on July 31, 2024, at his residence in Paragould, AR. Born on April 14, 1945, in Paragould, AR, Eddie lived a life filled with love, dedication, and joy.
Eddie was a member of the United States Army, where he proudly served his country. After leaving the military, Eddie dedicated many years of his life to his work as a loan officer at First National Bank, where he touched the lives of many in his community. With a Bachelor's Degree under his belt, Eddie worked with integrity and compassion, leaving a lasting impact on all those he crossed paths with.
Eddie was a dedicated member of Harvest Baptist Church in Paragould. In his free time, Eddie found solace in the simple pleasures of life. An avid golfer and deer hunter, he found peace and joy in the great outdoors. One of his greatest joys was picking up his grandkids from school, cherishing every moment spent with them. Eddie's mornings were often spent enjoying coffee at the round table at Ironhorse, sharing stories and laughter with his dear friends..
Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, Amos and Imogene (Davis) Russom, and his sister, Marion Russom.
Eddie is survived by his loving wife of fifty-five years, Margaret Russom; his son, Brandon (Heather) Russom and daughter, Leigh Rogers; his cherished grandchildren, Jax Russom, Madden Russom, Maggie Russom, Hunter (Makenzie) Rawls, Shana (Dillon) Sellers, Jenna Rogers, Jarrett Rogers, Jude Rogers, and Jace Rogers; great-grandchildren, Marlee Taylor, Kylan Taylor, and Riley Rawls, along with a host of other relatives, and friends. The memories Eddie created with his family will forever be cherished and his legacy will live on through them.
A funeral service to honor and celebrate Eddie's life will be held at Heath Funeral Home on Saturday, August 3, 2024, beginning at 1:00 PM. with Brother Doug Compton officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM, until the time of the service. Burial will immediately follow at Greene County Memorial Gardens.
Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Jax Russom, Jarrett Rogers, Jude Rogers, Dillon Sellers, Hunter Rawls, Josh McCaslin, and Caleb McCaslin. Honorary pallbearers will be the Round Table Coffee Group at Ironhorse Steakhouse.
Eddie Mack Russom will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have had him in their lives. May he rest in peace, forever remembered with love and admiration.
