Dorthy Imogene Mandrell

Dorthy Imogene Mandrell, 91 of Paragould, died Thursday, December 27 at the Phil and Flo Hospice in Jonesboro. Dorthy was born to Jerald and Lou (Breashers) Dacus May 30, 1921 in Greene County, Arkansas. Mrs. Mandrell is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Buford Irvin Mandrell; two infant children; one daughter Joy Stalnaker, two sisters Mamie Harvell and Francis Stranger; two brothers Johnny and Nathiel Dacus and granddaughter SaGaye Reece. Survivors include one daughter Carolyn and Darrell Reece of Brookland; one sister Nina Galbreath of Muskegon, Michigan, nine grandchildren and several great and great great grandchildren; one son-in-law Bob Stalnaker. Services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, in the Heath Colonial Chapel with Dennis Scudder officiating, burial will follow in the Beech Grove Cemetery. Grandchildren and great grandchildren will serve as pallbearers Frankie, Wayne, Wesley, Alex Reece, Tyler Fielder and Michael Curtis. Visitation will be 6-8PM Sunday at the funeral home.
