Dorthie May Brown

Dorthie Mae Brown, 64, Jonesboro, died Thursday, at St Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. She was born June 20, 1948 in Paragould the daughter of the late Walter Aniel and Marie Frances Jewell Mason. She was also preceded in death by her son, Walter Selvidge, Sr., daughter, Frances Selvidge, sister, Jessie Lee Mason. She worked at Ed White Shoe Factory and Frolic Footwear and was a member of Magnolia Road Baptist Church. She loved collecting angels, Elvis, flowers and gardening. She is survived by her husband: Lonnie Ray Brown, Sr. of the home; son and daughter-in-law: Lonnie Brown, Jr. and Chasity, of Jonesboro; step daughters: Connie Borntrager and Sherri Richmond of Gideon, MO; brothers: James Mason of Bay, Bert Mason of Bono; grandchildren: Walter Selvidge, Jr., Mykala Selvidge, Serena Brown, Tre Brown, Devin DeFries, Summer Thacker, Jennifer Looney, Casey Ledbetter, Brandon Gilmore, Benjamin Thacker and several great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Sunday, at Heath Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at Heath Colonial Chapel in Paragould, 1:00 PM, Monday.
