Dorris Louise Householder left this world on Friday, December 13, 2024, at the age of 83. Born on June 17, 1941, in Peach Orchard, Dorris touched the lives of many with her feisty spirit and vibrant personality. Dorris was known for her love of conversation, often delighting in lengthy phone calls to hear the latest news from around town. Her passion for music filled her home with joy, and she found great happiness in exploring flea markets, where she cherished the treasure of unique finds and meaningful connections. As a dedicated member of Trinity Full Gospel Church, Dorris grew in her faith and loved the Lord. Dorris was preceded in death by her parents, Harrison Vallance and Bessie Vallance Andrews; husband, Doyle Householder; daughter, Kathy Younger; son, Jesse Younger; and four brothers.
Dorris is survived by her daughters, Debra Clayton of Paragould and Jane Brunson of Batesville; son, James Robert (Dorothy) Younger of Paragould; brother, Donnie Vallance; sister, Barbara Sue Reynolds; 16 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 12 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.
A celebration of Dorris's life will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at 12 PM at Heath Funeral Home, where friends and family will gather to honor her memory. A visitation will be from 11 AM until service time, allowing everyone to share their cherished stories and memories of Dorris. Burial will follow in Greene County Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a local food bank of your choice in memory of Dorris, supporting a cause she loved so dearly.
