With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Dorothy Sue Bennett on September 27, 2024, in Paragould. Born on November 6, 1944, Dorothy was a beloved member of her family and community. She leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness.

Dorothy was known for her unique hobbies and interests. Often found engrossed in her romance novels on fishing trips, she found joy in the simple moments of life. Her skilled hands crafted beautiful blankets through crocheting, bringing warmth and comfort to those around her. Her culinary talents were unmatched, with her famous dumplings always being a crowd favorite among her family and friends.

A dedicated member of Oak Grove Pentecostal, Dorothy found solace and strength in her faith. Her devotion to her beliefs shone through in her interactions with others, displaying compassion and empathy in all she did.

Dorothy's memory will be cherished by her relatives, including daughters, Susan Wilson and Carol Lachner; son Timothy Bennett; sister, Mary Harris; brothers, David Cox, Arthur Cox, and Doug Cox; grandchildren, Joshawa Bennett, Kayla Jones, Chelbie Wilson, and Brianna Wilson; niece Jamie Lawson; ex-husband, David Bennett; and numerous nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She is also survived by a wide circle of friends who will miss her dearly.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, William Cox and Cora Gertrude Cox; son, Robert Bennett; and sister, Betty Cleak.

In her passing, Dorothy Sue Bennett has left an indelible mark on those who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace, forever remembered for her kind spirit and loving heart.
