Donald Troutman

November 8, 1943 — March 25, 2025

Don Troutman, born November 8, 1943, in Brookland, Arkansas, to Paul and Ora Lee (Brewington) Troutman, passed away at his residence in Paragould, Arkansas, Tuesday, March 25, 2025. He was a machinist for over 40 years and worked for companies including Arkansas Glass and World Color.

Don felt most at home in his shop or outdoors, driving a tractor, using lathes (or other tools) to make new ideas, hunting, fishing, or fixing old items he bought at a sale or someone brought by his shop. He was very skilled with his hands and could fix anything. Often the payment for his work was simply a polite conversation or sharing in a practical joke. He was very generous with his time and skills for the good of his family and community. On his last day, he was doing the things he loved in the outdoors.

He was preceded by his parents and his sister, Doris Rupard. He is survived by his devoted wife, Sissy Troutman; his sons, Tracy, and Kevin (Nina) Troutman, and Isaac (Natalie) Howard; and his grandchildren, Tyler Troutman, Alexis Troutman, and Julie Howard.

Visitation will be on Thursday, March 27, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, followed by a funeral service on Friday March 28, beginning at 10:00 AM at Heath Funeral Home, with Evan Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetery in Brookland, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Stacy Broadway, Allen Carroll, Keith Grantham, Joel Mullins, Randy Rupard, John Yauger, Doug Rupard (Honorary), and Tyler Troutman (Honorary).
