Dessie Mae (Huffman) White-Butler, 74, passed away unexpectedly at her home in St. Charles, Missouri, Saturday, June 14, 2014. She was born September 15, 1939 in Beech Grove Arkansas the daughter of the late Melvin and Alma (Fears) Huffman. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Donald L. White. Dessie loved spending time with her family, working on her flower garden and watching the birds. She helped her family, neighbors and friends anytime there was a need and she was loved by everyone who knew her. She is survived by her loving husband, Homer G. Butler of St. Charles Missouri; children and their spouses: Michael and Diana White and granddaughters, Katie and Natalie, all of St. Peters, Missouri and Michele and Steve Dion and granddaughters, Kristen and Brooke, all of St. Charles, Missouri; siblings and their spouses: Bonnie and Carl Cathy of Scottsville, Kentucky, Geraldine Huffman of St. Peters, Missouri, Donald and Sue Huffman of Walcott, Arkansas, Sue Liles of Mountain Home, Arkansas and many precious nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:30 PM, Wednesday, June 18, at Heath Funeral Home. Her life will be celebrated at 10:30 AM, Thursday, June 19, at Heath Colonial Chapel with Brother Eric Newberry officiating. Burial will follow at Union Grove Cemetery.
