David Edward Smoker, 79, Paragould, Arkansas, died Tuesday, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould. He was born June 17, 1931 in Burr Oak, Michigan the son of the late Edward and Alma Sikorski Smoker. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Deloris Veasey Smoker and his brother, Floyd Smoker. He was retired after 45 1/2 years from Darling Store Fixtures and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He loved hunting, fishing and golfing. Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law: Michael and Kathy Smoker, Steve and Lana Smoker, Barry and Darlene Smoker; daughter and son-in-law: Lori and Kevin Thompson, all of Paragould; grandchildren: Sara Smoker, Mallory Williams, Marshall, Mackenzie, and Maggie Thompson. A public rosary will be held at 6:00 PM Thursday at Heath Colonial Chapel in Paragould with visitation following until 8:00 PM. His life will be celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 10:00 AM Friday, with Father Jack Vu and Deacon Rex Bouldin officiating. Interment will follow at Greene County Memorial Gardens in Paragould. Pallbearers are Mark Woodruff, David Flanery, Stanley Carmack, Dwayne Frakes, Don Tabor, Dick Chiles, Jerry Hoepfl, and Harlon Barron.
