Curtis C. Gage was born November 24, 1932, to Luther and Lula Gage in Bono. He died October 30, 2015, at his home in Paragould. Curtis was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. He retired from the PLWC waste water plant in 1992. Curtis married Jewel (Killian) Gage on February 4, 1952. Curtis was a wonderful man who loved God and lived his life to please him. He loved his family, especially his beautiful wife and best friend, Jewel Gage. He had many great friends whom he considered to be his family. He loved playing his musical instruments and just sitting and listening to music. He was truly a blessing to anyone he met and made an impact on their lives. Heaven truly gained an angel when he died, and we know he is looking down on us smiling.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Lula Gage; sister, Lizzie Foster; brothers, Everett Gage, Leroy Gage, and Jasper Gage; son, Paul Gage; and daughter, Linda Gage. Survivors include his wife, Jewel Gage of 63 years; brother, Otis and Dorothy Gage of Neosha, MO; sister-in-law, Glenda Gage of Imboden; daughter-in-law, Karen Gage of Huntsville, AL; son, David Gage of Paragould; son and daughter-in-law, Donnie and Laura Gage of Paragould; son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Dena Gage of Paragould; daughter, Sherry Clark of Cardwell, MO; grandson and wife, Paul Dean and Kirsten Gage of Huntsville, AL, grandson, Jeremy Gage of Huntsville, AL, grandson, Steven Wayne Connor of Stanford, grandson and wife, Matt and Tiffany Gage of Paragould, grandson and wife, Donnie Lee and Alicia Gage of Rota, Spain, granddaughter Lacey Clark-Hollis of Cardwell, grandson, Curtis David Gage of Paragould, grandson, Nicholas Gage of Paragould, granddaughter, Krista Gage of Paragould, granddaughter, Erin Clark of Cardwell, grandson, Joshua Gage of Paragould, granddaughter, Abbie Clark of Cardwell; great grandkids, Lexis Connor, Grant Gage, Madison Gage, Braley Clark, Tyler Gage, Darian Gage, Ella Gage, Brinley Hollis, and Kiana Devose; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Visitation will be Sunday evening from 6-8 at Heath Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Monday morning at 10 at Heath Colonial Chapel with Rev. Dennis Strope officiating. Burial will follow in Cardwell Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Edward Killian, Rondal Warner, Keith Wiggington, Denny Smith, George Taylor, and J.W. Rawls. Honorary Pallbearers are all members of Fairview Baptist Church and all members of the Greene County Senior B.E.E.S.
