Constance Arlene Cothren, beloved mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2025, in Batesville, Arkansas. Born on May 18, 1936, in Sabattus, Maine, Constance touched the lives of many with her warm spirit and unwavering kindness.
A dedicated member of the education community, Constance spent her career working in the school kitchen warehouse, where she nourished the minds and bodies of countless students. Her commitment to fostering an environment of care and support will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege to know her.
Constance had a passion for life, sharing her love of music through her piano playing and singing. Whether it was sharing a joyful melody at family gatherings or engaging in spirited games of bingo with friends and loved ones, she brought joy and laughter wherever she went.
She is survived by her devoted son, Fred Cothren, and her cherished daughter-in-law, Barbara Cothren; her loving sister, Phyllis Jordan; . Each of them will carry her spirit in their hearts, remembering her as a beacon of love and light in their lives.
Constance was preceded in death by her husband, Winford Cothren; parents, Ernest and Margaret (Wright) Burnham; and brother, Daniel Burnham.
A graveside service honoring Constance's life will be held at Linwood Cemetery on January 9, 2025, at 11:00 AM, with burial to follow. Friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance of this remarkable woman who faithfully loved and supported those around her.
May her memory continue to inspire and uplift all who were fortunate enough to know her.
