Cloyd Anderson Jr., 75, of Paragould, passed from this life peacefully at The Green House Cottages of Belle Meade on April 29, 2024. Born on March 1, 1949, in Paragould, Jr. was known for his hard work, kind demeanor, and unwavering positivity.
Affectionately known as "Lightning" by his colleagues at Emerson Electric where he worked for 42 years, Jr. led a humble life filled with simple pleasures. His favorite pastime was sitting in his porch swing, finding solace in the quiet moments. He could often be found enjoying a cup of coffee at McDonald's, where he would engage in friendly conversations with both friends and strangers alike.
Despite life's challenges, Jr. maintained a cheerful disposition, always seeing the silver lining even in the darkest of times. His optimism and warm smile brightened the days of those around him, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Jr. was a cherished member of the River of Life Apostolic Bible Church, where his faith and kindness shone through in all aspects of his life. He is survived by his sons, Jeremy and Gregory Anderson; grandchildren, Wyatt, Savannah, Braxton, and Cameron; brothers, Jerry, Eddie, Albert, and Lindel Anderson; and numerous nephews and nieces.
Jr. is preceded in death by his parents, Cloyd, Sr. and Hester Virginia Anderson, and brothers, Gaylon and Gerald Anderson.
A visitation will be Thursday, May 2, 2024, from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm at Heath Funeral Home. The funeral will begin at noon with Rev. Bryce Smithee officiating. Burial will follow in Brown's Chapel Cemetery.
