Clarence Shirl "C.S." Bounds, 81, of Marmaduke, passed away Thursday at St. Bernard's Medical Center. He worked at Sellmeyer Farms for 15 years and retired from Martin Sprocket & Gear after 22 years. He loved to farm and garden. C.S. was the son of the late Shirl and Wilma Bounds. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Pauline Oglesby and Laveada Keaton; and brothers, Clifford Bounds and Jay Bounds.
Survivors included his wife of 59 years, Danice Odom Bounds; daughters, Rhonda (Jerry) Sollis of Corning, Connie (Dale) Smith of Marmaduke; son, Eddie (Lori) Bounds of Lake City; brother, Charles Bounds; sister, Pat Mangrum; grandchildren, Stephanie (Kyle) Bethay, Michael Sollis, Tyler (Deshayla) Bounds, Spencer Bounds, Noah Bounds, Nick Bounds, Toshia Cloud, Dakota Matheny, D.J. (Schelby) Smith, and Thomas Morrison; great grandchildren, Olivia Bounds, Harper and Adalynn Mann, and Oliver Cloud; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation is Sunday evening from 5-7 at Heath Funeral Home. The funeral is Monday at 1 pm at Heath Colonial Chapel with Rev. Matthew Jones and Rev. Marlin Ray officiating. Burial is in Hartsoe Cemetery.
