Clara Janiece Cox

Clara Janiece Cox, beloved wife, sister, and aunt, passed from this life on January 25, 2024, at the age of 84 in Jonesboro. She was born on October 2, 1939, in Stanford, Arkansas, and was the epitome of love, compassion, and kindness throughout her life.

Janiece's warm heart and nurturing spirit made her a natural caregiver. She dedicated her life to taking care of others, finding fulfillment in being a caretaker and homemaker. Her love extended beyond her immediate family, as she cherished her nephews and nieces dearly. Janiece may not have had children of her own, but she created an unbreakable bond with her extended family that will be cherished forever.

Music was a cherished part of Janiece's life. She had a beautiful voice and a talent for playing the piano, which brought joy to both her and those lucky enough to hear her play. Her love of music was a reflection of her vibrant and celebratory spirit, always finding joy in the simple pleasures of life.

As a faithful member of the First Freewill Baptist Church, Janiece found solace and strength in her faith. Her dedication to her church community allowed her to form lasting connections and find solace in times of hardship. Janiece's unwavering faith was a guiding light throughout her life.

Janiece was preceded in death by her parents, William "Clyde" and Cora Adams Gramling; husband, Clarence "CL" Cox; brothers, Walter Lee Gramling, William J. Gramling, and Wallace Cletus Gramling; and sisters, Sylvia Adams, Wanda L. Clifton, and Barbara Rawls.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 28, 2024, at Heath Funeral Home from 1-1:30 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1:30 pm. Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery.

Clara Janiece Cox will be remembered as a loving and compassionate woman who touched the lives of many. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all those who were fortunate enough to have known her.
