Lucinda Lee "Cindy" Harris, 63, formerly of Paragould, died Thursday at her home in Bossier City, LA. She was born in Little Rock on July 30, 1952. She is survived by her husband, Michael Harris; sons, Chad Harris (Shannon George) of Paragould and Jody Harris of Little Rock; son and daughter-in-law, Kyle and Leanne Harris of Paragould; grandchildren, Hunter Harris, Banks Harris, Hannah Harris, Phoebe Harris, Abbie Harris, and Parker Harris; and brother, Mike (Ginger) Ford of Paragould. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Russell Ford and Marjorie Payne Ford. Cindy was a 1970 graduate of Paragould High School. She was a homemaker and active in her community. She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church and a hospital auxillary volunteer. She was also one of the founding women of "Lifehouse Ministries". Cindy served on the Red Cross Advisory Boards for Greene and Craighead counties and was also a community first aid instructor. Cindy was also proud to serve as a victim's assistance officer for the Greene County Prosecuting Attorney's office. Cindy will be remembered most for her compassionate spirit, infectious smile, and heartwarming hugs. She was always happiest when she was helping or serving others. The family will receive friends on Monday from 12-2 pm at Heath Funeral Home. A private family service will precede the visitation. Pallbearers are Hunter Harris, Banks Harris, Parker Harris, Rusty Ford, Phillip Greer, Matt Foster, Mark Foster, Bill McCartney, and Steve Chesser. Memorials may be sent to East Side Baptist Church or First United Methodist Church, both in Paragould.
