Christopher Dewayne Brown, 41, of Paragould, passed away Sunday. He was a Maintenance Manager and Facility Manager at Tenneco. Chris served his country for 15 years in the Arkansas National Guard having been deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. Although he was very dedicated to his career, he was more dedicated to his family. Chris loved his wife and children. He attended as many of his kids' events as he could. He also loved cars. His pride and joy was his 2016 Dodge Charger R/T Scat Pack. He was preceded in death by his uncle, Junior Brown; grandparents, Violet and Dub Brown and Shirley and Ed Henson; and his brothers-in-arms, Blake Ward and Burley George.
Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Melissa Gramling Brown; children, Mallory, Madison, and Kobe Brown; nephew, Dennis Brown; special cousins, Derek Henson and Enoch Bricker; and best friend, Tim Wilcox.
Visitation is Friday from 1-4pm at West View Baptist Church in Paragould. The funeral will begin at 4pm with Dr. Marc Reeves officiating under the direction of Heath Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery. Pallbearers are Kobe Brown, Tim Wilcox, Enoch Bricker, Derek Henson, Wayne Blount, and Joey Lewallen. Honorary pallbearers are Richard Hartness, Steve Bateman, John Miller, and his family in the Arkansas National Guard's 1037th Battalion. Please send memorials to the Special Olympics.
