Chester Eugene Luke, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 5, 2025, at his home in Cardwell, Missouri. Born on December 2, 1951, in Paragould, Chester dedicated most of his life to the farming profession, where his hard work and commitment profoundly impacted his family and community.
Chester was a man of simple pleasures, known for his great love of fishing, which provided him moments of tranquility and joy in the midst of his busy life. He cherished the time spent in nature, often sharing these experiences with family and friends who will remember his warm spirit and gentle demeanor.
Chester leaves behind his devoted children, Shelly (Ryan) Brown of Cardwell, Ben (Stephanie) Luke of Paragould, and Joseph Luke of Poplar Bluff, Tommy Oden and David Thomas both of Marmaduke, and Theresa Ivy of Kennett; sister, Faye Sanders of West Plains; numerous grandchildren; and several great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Flossie Luke; children, Reva Ness, Kenny Oden, and Richard Thomas; and sisters, Joann Wade and Bonnie Luke.
A visitation will take place at the Heath Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, from 5 to 7 PM. Funeral services will be held at Heath Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at 11:00 AM, where friends and family will gather to honor and celebrate Chester's life. Burial will be private.
Chester Eugene Luke will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy will live on through the stories shared and the lives he touched.
